Inhabiting Thomas

Because you came back for Thomas I hope
you may come back for me.

Because you breathed peace upon Thomas I wonder
if there is a peace for me.

Because you let Thomas touch you I believe
I will hold you in my hands.

Because no doors nor death nor doubt
would keep you from seeking him out
I will expect to see your face
in the most unexpected place.

Because of your infinite patience
with Thomas I will wait for you.
