Jacob’s ladder

I made a simple board book to retell the story of Jacob’s dream to the children in church tomorrow. The reading is from Genesis 28:10-19.

If you want to make your own, please retain the author credit, feel free to drop in your own illustrations, and note that glitter glue was liberally added! The image of the painting of Jacob’s ladder is by William Blake [Public domain], via Wikimedia Commons

This is where I am going with my sermon. I will be putting up a tall step ladder as I begin to preach saying “It’s not about the ladder” then helping them see God is always, always, always with us. In the dirt and dark stuff of our lives, in the ordinary rocks. I too have a heart shaped stone like yours!

Rosalind, i would love to use your story above, from page 4 onwards for our family service on Friday evening.
